What will happen now with our Tourism Industry?

What will happen now with our Tourism Industry? Are we able to surpass this pandemic? Are there any changes after how many months of quarantine and lockdown? Well, it's still the Corona Virus, but getting worse with what they called "UK Variant Covid" and its threatening our lives once more. It's difficult to understand the true extent of such a threat, because it has the chance to wipe out millions of us, including my family and yours, in a matter of weeks, and now almost a year.

Before Covid-19 happened, "Tourism" is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and one of the most important sectors of the global economy and now, "Tourism” has been seriously threatened because of its nature of business which is related to people especially tourists traveling and exploring different places and countries.

Pandemic has a major impact on global tourism and hospitality industry. Hotels, airlines and travel agencies were prohibited because of the pandemic. The government imposed "Travel Ban" from other countries and for the whole parts of the Philippines.

Several businesses were struggling to survive and others totally experienced bankruptcies during the lockdown. People around the world were advised to stay at home for weeks that turned into months to prevent being infected from the Corona Virus. They implemented quarantine, and only limited people could go outside to buy their necessities.

All of us are suffering due to this pandemic. It ruined our plans for 2020 and hopefully it won't be the same this 2021. Our economy is collapsing and the less that we can do is to stay at home and pray that everything will be better soon and we will go back to the "Old Normal".

Would you care for a bite?

Would you care for a bite?

Let me introduce to all of you, some of the famous exotic foods in the Philippines that I already tried and tasted.

Let me give you some trivia about these exotic foods that I'm telling you.

"Balut" is not only popular in the Philippines, but also in Southeast Asian countries like Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. "Balut" is a fertilized duck egg that is boiled and eaten from its shell.

Other famous exotic foods that I know is "Camaro", which are field crickets cooked in soy sauce, salt and vinegar and it has been known in the province of Pampanga.

Lastly is the "BETUTE/FROG" which is also popular in Pampanga. This exotic food tastes better when fried or cooked in "Adobo".

You've seen all the photos, and you've got

to wonder what are these one of a kind meals?

Well, this is the delicacy of the Philippines.

When I tried each of them, their "flavor/taste" was weird but different at the same time. "Camaro" tasted bitter if not washed or cleaned properly.

When I was a kid, I don't like the "sisiw/duck" of "Balut" because its texture was disgusting especially the hair/fur. Now, that I get older I always crave for "Balut" and I can bravely eat its "sisiw/duck".

"Betute or Frog" is my favorite among these exotic foods because it tasted like fried chicken. The stuffing was also quite flavorful.

I got the chance to eat all of them because my grandmother always cook these meals for us when we we had a farm and "palayan" during that time. We're lucky enough to experience this one of a kind but fun moment that I'll surely treasure forever.

These exotic foods are really "MUST TRY". Don't hesitate to eat and try for a once in a lifetime experience.
