Issue about tourism management courses

 Issue about tourism management courses

Have you ever heard of that hotel? Cruise ship? Airplane? No board exam? Others say that this course is very expensive and we're unlucky to enroll in a "Tourism" course. They said that Tourism is very easy and instead of appreciating it, I always hear other people judging my course.

Others will say that this course is stress free, seriously do you know how hard it is to memorize the world map? How about bartending, ships terminologies, hotel and restaurant, dealing with math, kitchen demonstration, business plan, tour plan and research paper?

Do you know that it's also difficult to familiarize different languages. We are dealing with international market. How can they say that tourism course has an easy access?

Tourism is a part of economic development through tourism income. Basically without tourism life would be indescribable.

They judge easily without fully understanding how is it to be a tourism student. They don't know that after you graduate there's a lot of opportunities like working as a front desk and applying in airlines companies, cruise ships, restaurants and etc.

As a tourism student, I am grateful to all the people who judge my course because I am much eager to prove my worth as a tourism student.

Resources for your trip

 Resources for your trip

Hello, everyone! Let me share some travel tips for a hassle-free vacation or get-away.

First, you need to make a plan as early as possible. Book a flight ahead of time or book a resort/hotel of the place that you want to visit especially if you're staying for more than a day. Search for their culture and tourist spots and write an itinerary. Also, check the rules and regulations of that certain place.

Next, be sure that you will budget your money. Bring pocket money and avoid eating to expensive restaurants. Try the native foods of the place and also buy some of there local souvenirs/products for remembrance.

Wear your comfortable cloths and don't forget to bring your phone or camera. Taking picture is also a souvenir in that place. Be a "professional photographer" just for that specific situation hahahaha

Next, always get up early so you can enjoy the whole day and before you go be sure that you already visited the comfort room (you know what I mean hahahaha) or bring wet wipes and tissue.

Lastly, don't forget to smile and be polite to the people in that place.

Remember, enjoy every place that you visit. Make your tour memorable, it's a once in a lifetime experience. I hope these tips will help you enjoy your vacation.

My list of unforgettable experiences

 My list of unforgettable experiences

First is all about the "Betute and Kamaroo", they look disgusting but they taste like chicken joy or adobo.

If you want to try these exotic foods, I recommend "Matam-lH Authentic Kapampangan Cuisine" located at Clark, Pampanga. They also serve crocodile dishes.

Second is all about my adventure in Dasol, Pangasinan. Tiring but worth the risk kind of experience.

Next is riding the "Hanging Bridge and Zipline" in Clark, Picnic Ground. I'm afraid of heights, but experiencing it was indeed memorable.

Lastly, our trekking in Mt. Arayat and "Banal na Bunduc". It has 14 stations of the cross and when you reach the peak, the amazing view of Pampanga and nearby provinces will mesmerize you. It's tiring, but the calmness of the place will definitely give you some relaxing feeling.

I'm looking forward for more adventures and experiences to share with all of you.

The unexpected "libot"

Hi everyone! I'm back and let me tell you my most "unexpected libot". It was early in the morning when my friends called me, they said that they were in McDonald's and they asked me to come to have some breakfast.
So, I went to McDonald's without taking a bath, I just washed my face.

After we eat, they suddenly decided to go hiking. Amazing, right? hahahahaha we searched for different places  then we saw "Puning's Hotspring" and we ended up going there.

We don't know and how to go there so, we rode a blue taxi and told the driver to drop us in Sapangbato terminal. After that, we rode a tricycle for only php100.

When we reached our destination, the tour guide informed us that we can ride a 4x4 or we can walk. We decided to walk and we've paid php500 for the tour guide. The view was indeed beautiful despite of a tiring 1hr walk and the native people in that place were kind and approachable.

When we saw the view, all the tiring feelings suddenly perished. We swam on the hotspring and it's very calming. We were all starving that time, but the only foods available were bananas and boiled eggs.

When we're heading home, we have decided to ride a 4x4. It's a little bit pricey, but riding it was worth it. The experience was really one of a kind and since we're all starving that time, we decided to eat in Jollibee and we ate a lot.

I hope someday, we can visit "Puning's Hotspring" again with my friends and create a lot and good memories with them

Never forgotten experience

Holla, everyone! welcome back!
I have five memorable pictures that i want to share with all of you.
Bataan

The story behind this picture was my first time riding a banana boat.  It was a fun experience at all, the water was splashing all over our faces and we almost fell because of the waves. I had a funny moment here because when we fell into the water, I had a "Wardrobe Malfunction", my swimsuit was accidentally removed and gladly I was wearing a lifevest so I immediately fix it.

              MOA

The second picture was indeed memorable and funny because I'm with my family and cousins. We went to Star City and we had incredibly fun. We were all excited that time, so we decided that our first ride would be "Vikings".
Time passes by, we heard people shouting while riding and it frightened us. When it's our turn, me and my other cousins changed our minds because we're too scared that time. My other cousins continued riding, but they got dizzy and puked after that hahahahaha!

Tambobong, pangasinan

The next picture was me riding a boat. The boat actually had no chairs at all and the waves that time were strong and big. I bravely said that I would be the one who will sit in front of the boat. So, when the waves were hitting the boat, I was so nervous and I prayed that we reach our destination hurriedly. When we went back to the boat, I asked my sister to switch positions.

                              Baguio city

The second to the last picture was my first time riding a horse ever since I was 4 or 5 years old. I was a little bit nervous especially when the horse that we're riding was fighting with the other horses. It was tiring to ride a horse but the experience was fun and chill.

                                  Subic

Lastly was our summer getaway during Covid19. It was complicated to go on a vacation while we still have this deadly virus. We were interrogated by the police in the checkpoint when we reached Subic, Olongapo but gladly they just instructed us to go on a different route or direction, though it was quite far. Also, it was really hassle to wear face mask when we were in the beach, but it is still for our own sake.

Hopefully, our world will heal from what it's experiencing and we all go back to the "old normal". I'm looking forward for more memorable pictures and moment with my family and friends in other places.

What will happen now with our Tourism Industry?

What will happen now with our Tourism Industry? Are we able to surpass this pandemic? Are there any changes after how many months of quarantine and lockdown? Well, it's still the Corona Virus, but getting worse with what they called "UK Variant Covid" and its threatening our lives once more. It's difficult to understand the true extent of such a threat, because it has the chance to wipe out millions of us, including my family and yours, in a matter of weeks, and now almost a year.

Before Covid-19 happened, "Tourism" is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and one of the most important sectors of the global economy and now, "Tourism” has been seriously threatened because of its nature of business which is related to people especially tourists traveling and exploring different places and countries.

Pandemic has a major impact on global tourism and hospitality industry. Hotels, airlines and travel agencies were prohibited because of the pandemic. The government imposed "Travel Ban" from other countries and for the whole parts of the Philippines.

Several businesses were struggling to survive and others totally experienced bankruptcies during the lockdown. People around the world were advised to stay at home for weeks that turned into months to prevent being infected from the Corona Virus. They implemented quarantine, and only limited people could go outside to buy their necessities.

All of us are suffering due to this pandemic. It ruined our plans for 2020 and hopefully it won't be the same this 2021. Our economy is collapsing and the less that we can do is to stay at home and pray that everything will be better soon and we will go back to the "Old Normal".

Would you care for a bite?

Would you care for a bite?

Let me introduce to all of you, some of the famous exotic foods in the Philippines that I already tried and tasted.

Let me give you some trivia about these exotic foods that I'm telling you.

"Balut" is not only popular in the Philippines, but also in Southeast Asian countries like Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. "Balut" is a fertilized duck egg that is boiled and eaten from its shell.

Other famous exotic foods that I know is "Camaro", which are field crickets cooked in soy sauce, salt and vinegar and it has been known in the province of Pampanga.

Lastly is the "BETUTE/FROG" which is also popular in Pampanga. This exotic food tastes better when fried or cooked in "Adobo".

You've seen all the photos, and you've got

to wonder what are these one of a kind meals?

Well, this is the delicacy of the Philippines.

When I tried each of them, their "flavor/taste" was weird but different at the same time. "Camaro" tasted bitter if not washed or cleaned properly.

When I was a kid, I don't like the "sisiw/duck" of "Balut" because its texture was disgusting especially the hair/fur. Now, that I get older I always crave for "Balut" and I can bravely eat its "sisiw/duck".

"Betute or Frog" is my favorite among these exotic foods because it tasted like fried chicken. The stuffing was also quite flavorful.

I got the chance to eat all of them because my grandmother always cook these meals for us when we we had a farm and "palayan" during that time. We're lucky enough to experience this one of a kind but fun moment that I'll surely treasure forever.

These exotic foods are really "MUST TRY". Don't hesitate to eat and try for a once in a lifetime experience.
